Poem #5 of National Poetry Month.
Somedays a poem flutters around my head so strong if I can just grab it! No, time to capture that wild bird today. So this isn't what I was hoping for, but this is what came in my quick sit down for a poem today.

A Faded Tangle in Blue
A tune tussles my insides
Tinkling toneless like a turned out rubber shoe
Tap, tap, turn, tap,
Trapped, tossed, tucked away
Skip, hop, skip, hop,
Stomp, stomp, smack,
The sounds of jumping double-dutch
In rhythms so far from home
Twice, thrice, forgotten love beats
“Come out to play with us!”
“Don’t run away from us!”
We must glide again
Over, under, over, under,
Slide, slide, slide,
It fades----gone
The chalk drawing runs
Colors fade, fade, fade,
Tacit traces remain
