This
was written for our sudden cold stormy snap in July. I keep saying to myself,
“It is still summer, I know it!” 7/25/2014
Febuly
Dropping
twenty degrees
Puts
me on my knees
The
summer wind, cool as the cucumbers
Growing
in the garden now slumber
Leaves
falling in July
Filling
the sky
With
dust of another time
Feeling
I have to climb
Up
and out
I
want to shout
It
should be warm
On
the horizon a storm
Blows
in mush
A
winter-like hush
Surrounding
us
